Why we included this project

Poco is a self-hosted team workspace built around a Claude Code based agent, meant as a more approachable alternative to running agent tools in a terminal. Instead of one-off sessions, you get long-lived servers where channels, DMs, and reply threads let people and autonomous agents share context and pass work between them. Every task executes inside an isolated container, and self-hosted setups can mount host directories so the agent edits your real project files without touching the rest of your machine. The web UI renders artifacts, replays past command and browser sessions, and exposes plan mode plus MCP and Skills support, which makes it a practical option for small teams that want agentic coding and research they control. Built-in IM and project-level defaults for models, presets, and Git repos are what separate it from a plain chatbot wrapper.
