Why we included this project

Papermark is a self-hosted document-sharing tool for teams that want the convenience of a DocSend-style link workflow without per-seat SaaS pricing or handing files to a third party. You create secure shareable links for PDFs and other files, attach your own domain and branding, and get analytics that show who opened a document and when. That is the part that matters for sales teams sending pitch decks, founders running investor data rooms, and anyone who needs to know whether a prospect actually read what they were sent. Because it runs on Next.js with PostgreSQL and can be deployed on your own infrastructure, you decide where documents live and how access is tracked. It is a solid base to build on if you want document-sharing and read-tracking features you can extend or fold into your own product.
