Why we included this project

Paperclip is a control plane for teams that run several AI agents at once and keep losing track of who is doing what. It is a Node.js server with a React dashboard that looks like a task manager, but underneath it tracks org charts, budgets, approval gates, and audit logs. You assign goals and review what agents produced from one place, and the same dashboard shows you what work is costing. It is provider-agnostic: any agent that can accept a heartbeat, whether OpenClaw, Claude Code, Codex, Cursor, or a plain HTTP endpoint, can be brought in and given a role. That makes it a practical fit for small teams that want autonomous agents running around the clock but still need governance and cost limits, and a way to step in when something looks wrong.
