Why we included this project
Most project management tools treat AI as an add-on, a chatbot that answers questions while humans run the actual process. Paca works the other way: it is a self-hosted Scrum board where agents get real seats, joining sprint planning, pulling tasks, updating status, and writing BDD specs alongside people. Teams already using coding agents like Claude Code, Codex, or Gemini CLI can bring those tools into the same workflow, so agent work and human work stay visible in one place. Workflows, statuses, and board layouts live in config files and can be extended with WASM plugins, which keeps the core light while letting you fit it to your own process. That makes it a good fit for small teams that want Jira-style structure without per-seat pricing or vendor lock-in, and for anyone curious about running a team where humans and agents genuinely share the work.
