Why we included this project

Prototyping with LLMs usually means tripping over paywalls, so a directory that collects free endpoints in one place is worth keeping open. It pulls together free APIs from dozens of providers, from Google Gemini, NVIDIA NIM, Groq, and OpenRouter down to smaller names, and lays them out in tables covering rate limits, context windows, supported modalities, and whether a credit card is required. That last column matters more than it sounds, because several free tiers quietly ask for phone verification or a card before you can use them.
