Why we included this project
CodePilot wraps a multi-model agent in a desktop app, so you get the reach of an AI coding and automation assistant without working from a terminal. It connects to 17+ providers, from Anthropic and OpenRouter down to local Ollama instances, and you can switch models mid-conversation without losing context, then widen what the agent can do with MCP servers and custom skills. There's also a phone companion for starting or checking on agent runs when you're away from the keyboard. What began as a coding tool has grown into a general-purpose agent workspace, so teams that mix hosted and self-hosted models get one surface for all of them.
