Why we included this project

NOFX is a self-hosted trading terminal where a language model runs the loop: it reads market structure, proposes trades, and a Go runtime executes them under hard risk limits the model cannot override. The result is agentic decision-making with deterministic guardrails on position, leverage, and drawdown. You bring your own model API keys across eight providers and connect any of nine exchanges, and every decision is logged with its full reasoning for auditability. Credentials stay encrypted on your machine, and a web dashboard shows each trade as it happens, so the tool works as a hands-off autopilot or as a sandbox for running different models side by side against a public leaderboard of realized returns. For teams that want LLM-managed trading without wiring exchange integrations themselves, this is a practical place to start.
