Why we included this project

If you want a local assistant that can take a broad, high-level goal and actually follow through without you supervising each step, AIlice is worth a look. Its Interactive Agents Call Tree architecture spins up sub-agents on the fly to break tasks into pieces, then merges the results with fault tolerance. That makes it useful for thematic research, writing code, system management, and literature reviews. It runs with locally hosted open-source LLMs, so your data stays on your own hardware, and recent updates added MCP tool support and a practical voice dialogue mode. It's aimed at developers and power users who are comfortable installing and configuring models, not people expecting a polished consumer app out of the box.
