Why we included this project

Obsidian users who want an AI assistant that works on their actual notes rather than in a separate browser tab will find this plugin useful. It puts OpenCode's full web view into the sidebar, so you get the complete assistant without having to build or maintain a custom chat interface. The use cases match everyday note work: summarizing long documents, drafting and refining prose, querying your knowledge base, and turning rough material into structured outlines. It's a desktop-only plugin that runs the OpenCode CLI as a child process, so you'll need both the CLI and Bun installed, and there's a custom command mode for adding extra flags or using a wrapper script. If you already use OpenCode elsewhere, this is a straightforward way to bring that same assistant into your Obsidian workflow.
