Why we included this project

Teams that need agents to behave reliably in production, not just in a demo, will find a lot to like here. You describe an agent in plain language and Nexent assembles the pieces for you, handling tools, skills, memory, and the multi-step workflow, then wraps everything in guardrails, feedback loops, and a control plane to keep it on task. The zero-code angle helps non-specialists get started, but the Harness Engineering approach is the real substance: you get an opinionated framework rather than stitching LangChain-style chains together yourself. It deploys on Docker or Kubernetes in your own infrastructure, which matters if you cannot route sensitive work through a hosted service. For small teams, it is worth a look when you want production behavior over quick prototyping.
