Why we included this project
Skill Recorder is a desktop app that watches you complete a task on screen and turns that single session into a procedure your agent can reuse. It records your activity locally, including clicks, window switches, pages you visit, and optional spoken narration, then hands the footage to the GitHub Copilot CLI, which reconstructs one overall intent and an ordered list of steps you can review and edit. From the approved analysis you generate either a Skill, a SKILL.md procedure the agent runs on demand, or an Automation that fires on a schedule or trigger; both forms prefer native agent tools like the gh CLI over replaying UI clicks. The real payoff is generalization, since the generated procedure is meant to extend from your one example: record yourself submitting a single form and the skill should teach the agent to handle similar forms. That makes it a good fit for teams building repeatable Copilot, Scout, or Copilot Studio agents who want a reviewable trail connecting a human demo to the automated run.
