Why we included this project

Psi is a C# framework for building multimodal systems that process streaming sensor data, such as audio, video, depth, and IMU signals, while keeping them temporally aligned. It provides a component model for connecting perception, processing, and effector modules, along with tools for visualizing, annotating, and processing the data. There's also a library of ready-made components for common sensors and processing technologies, so you can assemble a working system without building all the plumbing yourself. This makes it a practical choice for research and prototyping in areas like social robots, embodied conversational agents, mixed-reality assistants, and ambient intelligence, where timing and latency are critical.
