Why we included this project

If you are new to machine learning and want a path that does not assume prior experience, this course is a good place to start. It breaks the subject into 26 lessons spread over 12 weeks, with 52 quizzes to check understanding, and moves from the basics of what ML is through regression, classification, clustering, and natural language processing. Each lesson combines a short reading with hands-on notebooks, so you build working scikit-learn models in Python (with a few R examples) rather than just reading about them. The exercises use real datasets, which makes the material feel concrete. Microsoft maintains the course and it is translated into many languages, so it also works as a shared resource for study groups or self-learners who want a clear weekly plan.
