Why we included this project

MagenticLite pairs a lightweight orchestrator with a specialized browser-use model, letting one agent move between web research, form filling, restaurant booking, and local file organization without needing frontier-scale compute. It is designed to keep you in charge: the agent pauses for approval before critical actions, and browser sessions run inside a lightweight VM sandbox so it cannot touch the rest of your machine unless you say so. That makes it a useful test bed for teams trying computer-use automation on real tasks with sensitive data, rather than one-off demos. It comes from Microsoft's AI Frontiers group and is explicitly experimental, so expect to extend it rather than run it as a turnkey product.
