Why we included this project

Managing lots of short links through a commercial service gets costly, and you hand over the click data along the way. Sink is an open-source alternative you can run yourself, entirely on Cloudflare's serverless stack, so a solo developer or small team can deploy their own instance and keep both the URLs and the analytics. You get custom slugs with UTM parameters, QR codes, per-link analytics in near real time, and the option to set expirations or passwords on individual links. The optional Workers AI integration reads the destination page and suggests human-readable slugs and OpenGraph metadata, which saves real time when you are shortening links in bulk. Device and country based redirects round it out when you need visitors to land on the right page by region.
