Why we included this project

Memex is a journaling app that works the opposite way from most: instead of expecting polished daily entries, you capture fragments as they happen, and a multi-agent system sorts them into timeline cards and cross-linked insights. Everything stays on your device, and you connect your own LLM provider (OpenAI, Claude, Gemini, DeepSeek, and others), so your prompts go straight from your phone to that service, with no Memex server storing your journal. It also builds a P.A.R.A.-style knowledge base, shows insights as cards with charts and timelines, and lets you create AI characters that comment on your life. Since it's a complete mobile app rather than a library, it's useful both as a private journal you can run yourself and as a reference for how a multi-agent organizer behaves in a real consumer product.
