Why we included this project

Terminator brings the browser-automation mental model to the Windows desktop, so assistants like Claude Code, Cursor, or VS Code can click buttons, type, and manage windows inside native apps. It runs in the background using your existing browser session instead of grabbing the cursor and keyboard, and it blends pixel, DOM, and accessibility-tree signals so selectors stay reliable across applications. What stands out is pre-training repeated workflows as deterministic code and reserving the LLM for recovery when something fails, a practical answer to the flakiness that plagues many computer-use agents. Developers automating tedious Windows work, such as checking logs, provisioning cloud instances, or testing new features, will find the Python, TypeScript, Rust, and MCP libraries offer several ways to wire it into existing tooling.
