Why we included this project

Nightshift is for people who pay for Claude or Codex and watch their token allotment reset every week with most of it unused. It's a Go CLI that runs overnight, scans the repos you point it at for dead code, doc drift, test gaps, security issues, and twenty-odd other maintenance problems, then opens each finding as a pull request. Since everything lands as a branch or PR and nothing touches your primary branch, the worst case is closing a suggestion you don't want. It caps how much of your daily allowance it uses, and the guided setup plus preview commands make it easy to see what it would do before letting it run unattended.
