Why we included this project

Cindy is a local AI agent that actually does work on your machine instead of just chatting. Developers and small teams can point it at real files and logged-in apps, and it handles practical tasks like editing code, driving a browser, controlling a computer or phone, or picking up work from IM and schedules. Claude Code and Codex are the first supported harnesses, and you can switch models mid-task without losing memory, skills, or tools. The client comes as desktop and mobile apps for Windows, macOS, iOS, and Android, and it stays model-agnostic: keep using the coding-plan subscription you already pay for, bring your own API keys, or run local models. Since the source is open under Apache-2.0, teams that want an agent they can reshape over time get a working starting point rather than a demo.
