Why we included this project

Shushu internship tool is a skill that runs inside a coding agent like Codex, aimed at CS students and early-career developers who want to turn one job description into a project they can actually talk about in an interview. You feed it a JD plus a short intake about your skill level, time budget, and hardware, and it picks two or three open-source repositories, ranks them by fit and how fast you can get them running, audits the code, and suggests incremental changes that are easy to explain. It also produces the materials most candidates struggle to write: a STAR resume entry, code walkthrough notes, mock interviewer Q&A, slide prompts, and an application checklist. The whole thing is deliberately lightweight, favoring a smoke test and a few targeted modifications over a full rewrite, which suits people with limited experience who need a quick path from posting to interview. Small Python scripts for repo auditing, candidate scoring, and interview-pack generation ship with it and can be run directly.
