Why we included this project

AIComicBuilder takes a written script and produces an animated short without a single hand-drawn frame. You upload a TXT, DOCX, or PDF file, and the app extracts the characters, builds four-view reference sheets for each one, splits the story into storyboard shots with composition and camera notes, generates first and last frames per shot, and hands those to a video model that interpolates them into clips. FFmpeg stitches the clips together and burns in subtitles. The pipeline is semi-automatic on purpose: you can fix character appearances, edit shot prompts, or replace generated frames before synthesis. It supports several AI providers (OpenAI, Gemini, Kling, Seedance, Veo) and common aspect ratios, and ships as a Docker image with SQLite storage, so a solo creator or small team can run it on their own hardware.
