Why we included this project

HanaAgent is a desktop agent that runs locally on your own machine, built for people who want an AI that actually does work on a computer rather than just holding a conversation. It remembers what you tell it, gives each agent its own personality, and can act on the desktop directly: reading and writing files, running one-off or persistent terminal sessions, browsing the web, taking screenshots, and handling scheduled tasks. Several agents can run side by side with separate memories and personalities, collaborate through group channels, and stay reachable from a chat app or a mobile PWA. Sandboxing layers a four-level path guard on top of OS-level isolation for macOS, Linux, and Windows, and you can adjust permission levels in settings. Anyone who found CLI agents like Claude Code powerful but wanted a more graphical, office-oriented front end will find a practical alternative here.
