Why we included this project
LTX Desktop is one of the few ways to drive LTX video generation from a real desktop app instead of a notebook or CLI. It covers text-to-video, image-to-video, audio-to-video, and video edit generation (retake), with a timeline-based editor layered on top so you can assemble and refine clips without leaving the app. On a Windows or Linux machine with an NVIDIA GPU holding at least 16GB of VRAM, or an Apple Silicon Mac with enough free RAM, generation runs locally; weaker hardware falls back to the LTX cloud API, which keeps the tool usable without a high-end card, though you'll need an API key. The built-in LoRA library and support for your own adapter files are useful when you want to push results toward a specific style. It's still beta, and the frontend is mid-refactor, so expect breaking changes.
