Why we included this project

Agent Skills is still a young ecosystem, and this curated guide is a solid place to get oriented before you start building. It pulls together the open specification, official documentation, tutorials, and a hand-picked set of skills for coding, content creation, and other workflows, and it explains the standard folder structure and SKILL.md format so you understand how a skill gets discovered and loaded before you write your own. Installation paths are covered too, including the skills CLI, GitHub's gh skill command, and the directory conventions used by Claude Code, Cursor, and other hosts. If you are deciding which skills to adopt, the curated lists and third-party stores beat searching GitHub on your own.
