Why we included this project
Codex pets are small animated desktop companions that sit beside your coding window, and this project is a convenient place to find and install them. The catalog works like a pet store: you browse complete animation previews, see who made each pet, and install with a single command on macOS, Linux, or Windows, no cloning or manual setup. There is also a request flow where you can ask for a character and a community contributor may volunteer to build it. The repo is a curated index rather than a runtime engine, which is fine, because its job is to help you find a pet you like quickly.
