Why we included this project

NekroAgent is a self-hosted agent framework for multi-user chat rooms, and what sets it apart is that it executes code rather than just holding conversation. The AI writes scripts and runs them inside a containerized sandbox, so a bot can call external tools, work through multi-step tasks, and correct its own mistakes without risking the host machine. The channel support is unusually wide for a single project: QQ, Discord, Telegram, Minecraft, Bilibili live, WeChat and email all connect out of the box, which helps teams that want one bot covering the places their users already hang out. Long-term memory, plugin hooks, and MCP tool management come built in, so the same setup can grow from a chat bot into a broader automation layer. Community and game-server operators who want a bot with real, teachable capabilities instead of canned replies will find a practical starting point here.
