Why we included this project

German-speaking lawyers and in-house counsel who want to put Claude to work on legal tasks will find a useful starting point here. The project adapts Anthropic's open claude-for-legal skills to German practice, with ready-made skills, sub-agents, and workflows for labor, corporate, insolvency, data protection, and procedural law. The structure follows German legal method: Anspruchsgrundlagen, statutory interpretation, and case citations that include dates and docket numbers. The authors are upfront that this is experimental and not legal advice, so it reads as a template to reshape for your own firm's mandates, tools, and compliance rules. The German-language materials and the attention to confidentiality, including attorney-client privilege, GDPR, and the EU AI Act, make it relevant for firms that need AI use to stay within local obligations.
