Why we included this project

Most agent tools stop when you stop. Kiro Crew is built around the opposite assumption: it runs on your own hardware, keeps context between sessions, and can carry multi-step tasks to completion without anyone watching. You can reach it from a desktop app, web dashboard, or CLI, and teams can hand it work through Slack, Discord, Telegram, or Teams rather than treating it as a personal assistant. Scheduled jobs and system heartbeats mean it acts like an always-on teammate, not a prompt box. If you want to productize a workflow, Kiro Crew Apps let you wrap a purpose-built interface around agents, skills, schedules, and integrations for one specific job. It's a self-hostable orchestration layer, not a thin wrapper around an API.
