Why we included this project
Obsidian is a great place to keep notes, but most AI coding agents have no idea how to write Obsidian Flavored Markdown or edit a JSON Canvas without mangling the file. This repo fixes that by packaging a set of Agent Skills that teach Claude Code, Codex, OpenCode, and any other skills-compatible agent the actual syntax for Obsidian's formats, including Bases and the Obsidian CLI. Each skill is a self-contained SKILL.md that follows the public Agent Skills specification, so installing it is the same across tools and you can carry the skills with you if you switch agents. There's also a Defuddle skill that pulls clean markdown out of web pages before you save it into a vault. If you live in Obsidian and want your agent to produce notes you don't have to repair by hand, this collection does exactly that.
