Why we included this project

Choosing an agent framework usually means wading through dozens of similar-looking GitHub repos. This list does the sorting for you: it groups open-source projects into sections like core frameworks, multi-agent orchestration, CLI harnesses, memory and context, and safety and evaluation, so you can compare tools that would otherwise blur together. It is refreshed weekly and flags inactive projects, which saves you from building on abandoned code. Because a person curates it rather than a search algorithm, the entries reflect actual judgment about what is worth a look, which helps when you are narrowing down candidates for a new project.
