Why we included this project

Scientists who already run coding agents will get the most out of this library: it turns an agent they already trust into one that can actually do research. The project bundles 158 ready-to-use skills spanning bioinformatics, drug discovery, proteomics, clinical research, and materials science. That means an agent can query public biomedical databases, run molecular-dynamics or RNA-velocity workflows, and generate publication-quality figures, with every tool call documented and reproducible. Since the skills follow the open Agent Skills standard, they work across Claude Code, Cursor, Codex, and other environments without per-tool rewiring, which is useful for teams that have standardized on one agent but want portable research tooling. The retrieval contracts and endpoint provenance also make it easier to audit what an agent actually queried, a real concern when agents touch scientific data. Treat it as a curated skill library that extends an existing agent, not as a standalone application.
