Why we included this project

Tutorials and recorded lectures tend to bury the useful points in an hour of talking, and BibiGPT pulls them back out. Paste a YouTube or Bilibili link (the two sources it handles most reliably) and it grabs the subtitles or transcript, sends them to an OpenAI-compatible model, and streams back a summary you can read in seconds. The same content also becomes the basis for a chat session, so you can ask about a specific section instead of rewatching the whole thing. It's a self-hosted web app built on Vercel edge functions, with caching and rate limiting baked in, and you bring your own API key, which keeps the per-summary cost under your control. People working through long Bilibili videos and teams skimming recorded meetings will both find it a fast way to cut watching time and double-check what was actually said.
