Why we included this project

BERT and XLNet research is scattered across arXiv, GitHub, and blog posts, and this list pulls the important pieces into one place. It collects the original papers, the official Google TensorFlow implementation, and the early PyTorch ports, so you can follow a model from its paper to working code without opening a dozen tabs. There are also pointers to downstream work, which helps when you want to see how BERT was adapted for question answering or sentiment analysis. It is a reading list rather than software you run, but for students and engineers getting into transformer NLP it is a fast way to find the right starting points.
