Why we included this project

Putting together training data is often the slowest part of a ship-detection project, and this index gathers the main radar and optical satellite datasets into one place. Each entry lists the authors, publication year, the tasks the dataset supports, and where to actually download it, plus notes on image counts, resolution, polarization, and sensor source, so you can judge whether a corpus fits your needs before committing to a download.
