Why we included this project

Agent skills are small, reusable instruction sets that give coding assistants like Cursor, Claude Code, and GitHub Copilot extra capabilities when a task calls for them, and this list is a good place to see what's out there. It pulls together official skill resources from Anthropic, GitHub, Microsoft, and OpenAI, then adds community collections, sorted into areas like development, DevOps, data processing, and writing. There's also a small installer with example skills so you can test the workflow on your own machine, plus a searchable web index for browsing the catalog. If your team is new to agent skills, having the whole ecosystem mapped in one place beats hunting through scattered repositories.
