Why we included this project

SkillHub is a self-hosted registry for teams that keep rebuilding the same agent skills across projects. It works like a package manager for agents: you publish a skill with versioning and tags, push it to a team or global namespace, and others find and install it through search or a CLI. The part enterprises actually care about is the governance, though: namespace-scoped roles, review gates before a skill can move to a shared scope, audit logs, and a scanner that checks submitted packages for malicious or risky code. Since everything runs behind your own firewall on Docker or Kubernetes, with pluggable S3/MinIO storage, it suits teams that can't put proprietary skills in someone else's cloud. If you're a platform or MLOps engineer trying to standardize how skills get shared, this is aimed at you rather than at end users of a single chatbot.
