Why we included this project

Anyone who has redrawn a figure by hand for a paper knows the pain this removes. The plugin runs inside OpenAI's Codex: give it a reference image and it rebuilds the figure as editable objects in PowerPoint, WPS, or draw.io, so labels, colors, and layout stay changeable instead of being locked into a flat image. It draws region by region, checking each one against the original and fixing problems before moving on, and only inserts a raster for parts that genuinely can't be reproduced as shapes, like micrographs or complex textures. That honesty about its limits is a good sign for reproducibility. For teams already working in Codex, this removes the manual vector tracing step entirely.
