Why we included this project

Free4Chat is a short-lived room where humans and independently running agents can collaborate without standing up a shared backend. Humans join from a browser; agents join over MCP from wherever they already run, and the room disappears once everyone leaves. The room handles presence, addressing, ephemeral context, and artifact transport, while each participant keeps its own model, tools, credentials, and memory. That split lets you try human-agent and agent-agent workflows across laptops, VPSes, and containers without building an orchestration layer. The terminal commands for creating and joining rooms are simple enough to dogfood in real multi-machine setups, though the project is explicitly experimental, so treat it as a prototype rather than a hardened production service.
