Why we included this project

For teams that want agentic automation without sending their data to a hosted service, Lemon AI is a genuinely local option. It runs the whole agent loop with planning, reflection, and memory on models served through Ollama or vLLM, so everything stays on your own hardware. A browser layer handles web research, and a Docker-based VM sandbox keeps any code it writes or executes away from your host filesystem. When you want higher-end output occasionally, it can still route tasks to Claude, GPT, Gemini, or Grok, which suits both privacy-first setups and teams that want flexibility. Since it's a full-stack Vue/Node app with a desktop shell, it works for single-user tinkering or self-hosting behind your own infrastructure.
