Why we included this project

Hexabot is a self-hosted runtime for teams that want agentic workflows that actually talk to real conversation channels, all in one place. You define workflows in YAML, scaffold projects with its CLI, and grow from simple chatbots into setups that handle scheduled jobs and manual steps alongside conversation flows. The extension model means developers can add custom actions, bindings, channels, and retrieval helpers without forking the core, and the RAG support ships with full-text search plus vector helpers for SQLite and PostgreSQL, so you can ground answers in your own content without committing to a particular vector store. If you would rather keep automation and data on your own infrastructure than rent a hosted agent platform, this is a solid fit.
