Why we included this project

Toonflow is for creators who want to turn a novel or script into finished animated short videos without assembling a pipeline of separate tools. The desktop app handles script adaptation, storyboard breakdowns, character generation, and final video assembly in one program, so the whole production chain stays in a single place. It runs locally on Windows, Linux, or macOS instead of as a cloud SaaS, and you can plug in your own model endpoints for text, image, and video work. That setup appeals to teams that want to keep their pipeline on their own infrastructure and produce episodes in batches at low cost. The project also includes cost and time figures from a sample short drama, which is a useful reference point when planning your own episodes.
