Why we included this project
Quick Cut is a lightweight desktop tool that puts FFmpeg behind a simple point-and-click window. For everyday jobs like compressing a screen recording, converting a format, reversing a clip, or stitching segments together, you pick a preset and adjust a couple of settings instead of typing encoder flags by hand, and the output can be lossless or size-tuned. It also cuts clips to match subtitle timings and generates captions, which makes it useful for subtitle editors and small content teams. It is not meant to replace Premiere or DaVinci Resolve; it is for quick jobs where a full editor is overkill. The interface and documentation were originally written in Chinese, with an English manual available.
