Why we included this project

For teams that need motion work to live inside real products, Haiku Animator is a desktop tool for building Lottie animations and interactive web components. Motion designers get a visual timeline and a free-transform canvas for keyframe and vector editing, and the exporters can hand off finished work as Lottie files, GIFs, or videos. Linking assets from Figma, Illustrator, or Sketch keeps design and code in sync on active projects. The spreadsheet-like Expressions feature lets designers wire up interactions without writing code, while the code editors still expose the underlying project source for developers who want deeper control. It's also a useful example of how a substantial desktop design app is organized, which is why it shows up in animation classrooms as well as production studios.
