Why we included this project

Anyone who has watched an AI coding session drift after a few minutes of autonomy will see the point of GSD-2 right away. It is a command-line orchestration layer that sits between you and your coding agents, so the usual run of planning, execution, verification, and shipping steps no longer needs you hovering over each one. The project pairs meta-prompting with careful context engineering and spec-driven development to keep agents working for long stretches without losing the thread of the task. Instead of prompting every step yourself, you write the outcome you want into a spec and the tool holds the agent to it through the whole session. That makes it most useful for solo developers, small teams, and anyone leaning on vibe-coded output who wants longer autonomous sessions they can actually trust. Development has since moved to GSD Pi in the Open GSD repository, so the active code, issues, and releases live there now.
