Why we included this project
Go developers who want to drive a desktop programmatically usually face a pile of platform-specific code. RobotGo gives them one native toolkit for mouse and keyboard control, screen and clipboard reads, window handles, and global input events, covering macOS, Windows, and Linux including ARM64. That makes it the practical base for UI test automation, RPA pipelines, and AI computer-use agents that must act on a real operating system. It is not an end-to-end agent framework, so you would still build your own orchestration around its primitives, but for raw input and screen control it has proven itself in production for years.
