Why we included this project

Databerry is the open-source project behind Chaindesk, built to let you stand up a custom AI chat assistant without hand-writing orchestration code. You feed it your own material, such as documents and website pages, and it anchors every reply in that content using semantic search, so answers stay grounded in what you actually supplied instead of drifting toward generic chatbot responses. The node-based visual builder keeps the whole thing approachable for non-specialists, which is exactly what small teams need when they want a working Q&A bot or internal knowledge assistant without assembling a retrieval pipeline by hand. Since the code is open, you can also self-host it and bend the builder to your own data workflow instead of being locked into a managed service.
