Why we included this project

If your work means pulling usable relations out of raw text, this list is a handy map of the Open Information Extraction landscape. Rather than pushing a single tool, it stacks years of papers in chronological order and then regroups them by angle, covering evaluation, multilingual systems, and downstream uses like question answering, event extraction, and knowledge base construction. The code and data sections let you go from an idea in a paper straight to a runnable system or a benchmark to test against. It also reaches into neighboring territory such as canonicalization of open relations and taxonomy building, which makes it a useful orientation point before you commit to libraries for a new NLP project.
