Why we included this project

Paseo is a control plane for coding agents. Instead of running Claude Code, Codex, Copilot, OpenCode, and Pi as separate command-line tools, you get one interface backed by a local daemon on your own machine, which keeps your full dev environment, tools, configs, and skills intact. That same daemon is reachable from desktop, mobile, web, and CLI clients, so you can start a session at your desk and check in from your phone. The practical appeal shows in parallel work: launch several agents on different worktrees or hand a task from a planning agent to an implementation one, and the bundled agent skills (handoff, loop, advisor, committee) demonstrate real multi-agent workflows without manual wiring. It self-hosts with no telemetry and no forced log-in.
