Why we included this project

Rocketnotes is a Markdown note-taking app that treats the AI features as part of the writing workflow rather than an add-on. You get the usual editor comforts, a hierarchical document tree, code syntax highlighting, and KaTeX/Mermaid rendering, but the interesting part is what the LLM layer does with your notes. You can chat with your documents, search by meaning instead of keyword matches, and get copilot-style text completion as you type. The zettelkasten-style inbox is the most distinctive piece: an agent reads your daily snippets and files them into the most relevant existing note, which is a real time-saver if you capture a lot of loose thoughts. It runs as a hosted web or Electron app, or fully locally through Docker with Ollama, so you can keep everything on your own machine if privacy matters.
