Why we included this project

Fogsight turns a single word or abstract concept into a complete, narrated animation. That makes it useful for educators, technical writers, and content creators who want to explain ideas visually without hand-animating every frame. An LLM runs the whole pipeline in one pass, so the script, visuals, and motion come together as a finished piece rather than a rough storyboard. You can refine the result through a chat interface, which helps when the first draft misses the mark. It runs locally via a simple Python launcher or Docker, and it works with several model providers including Gemini and OpenRouter, so you can bring your own API key. Worth noting: the project is released under a non-commercial, no-derivatives license, which matters if you plan to use it in a commercial product.
